BMW to partner with Amazon, Qualcomm for smart, autonomous cars

BMW has announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop its next-generation advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). The cloud-based system will use AWS’s compute, generative AI, IoT, machine learning, and storage capabilities to accelerate the delivery of highly automated BMW vehicles. The collaboration will also help BMW handle the increasing amounts of data generated by automated driving features. Additionally, BMW will partner with Qualcomm to co-develop next-generation automated driving systems based on the Snapdragon Ride Platform.
