Google is making things more private for Android users, here’s how

Google has expanded its Privacy Sandbox initiative on Android to more users globally, which offers more choices for privacy settings and ad tracking. The update retains user privacy while delivering relevant ads based on interests saved on the device. New ad privacy settings include features that personalise ads based on apps used and suggest ads based on interests. The “Ad measurement” feature lets users prevent app data sharing for ad performance metrics. The latest Android 13 update for Pixel devices now offers these additional features. The Privacy Sandbox works by keeping user identity private without Ad ID or cross-app data sharing.
