Siri could soon gain some smarts

Apple is investing heavily in building artificial intelligence (AI), particularly for its AI assistant Siri. Led by John Giannandrea, Apple’s head of AI, the team is working on new features for Siri that would allow users to automate tasks using voice commands. The company is also developing a language model called Ajax, similar to OpenAI’s GPT and Google’s Lamda, which could power Siri in future versions of iOS. Apple is also working on other AI projects, including a multimodal AI model for creating text, images, and videos. These new Siri features are expected to be released as part of an iOS update next year.
